Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do you guys have any other location?

-Nope, this is our one and only.

  • What is difference between Teriyaki and BBQ?

-I would like to believe everyone who has gotten this far has an idea of what teriyaki is. ;)   The only difference between the two is the sauces.  Teriyaki is more on the sweet side where BBQ is hoisen based smoky BBQ sauce we make here at our restaurant.  It is glazed on the chicken during the cooking process to bring out intense flavor of the sauce and may I say; once you go BBQ you can’t go back to teriyaki!

  • What does Hapa Mean?

-Hapa means half or part Hawaiian, and NO we are not Hawaiian however our combination of favorites of different Asian cuisines combined with Hawaiian flavor to it is what makes our restaurant Hapa.

  • Do you guys deliver?

-We only deliver to two doors down from our restaurant. ^^

  • What’s your most popular item on the menu?

-Not to play favorites or anything, but Kalua Pork is our most popular item on the menu.

  • What’s good?

-Everything really is good.  We try our best to pick the very best from all different Asian cuisines so yes everything is good and we are confident that there is something for everyone.

  • Does Chicken have bones in it?

-All our chicken dishes are boneless skinless and they are cut into pieces.

  • What is Salad Rolls?

-They are Vietnamese salad rolls, served with peanut sauce.  They are one of our most popular appetizer items, wrapped with fresh rice paper, popular for light appetizer or light meal.

  • Is curry sauce spicy?

-Thai red curry is what we use for our curry sauce but it’s mild down with sweetness and richness of the coconut milk gives perfect balance.

  • What is Kimchee?

-Kimchee is Korean style pickled cabbage.  Napa cabbages are salted and pickled with kimchee marinate and served as a side dish.  This is the only item on the menu that is spicy.

  • How long does it take for the food to be ready?

-Generally about 5 to 10 minutes.

  • Do we cater?

-Yes, we do cater.  We offer two different types of catering services.  Everything will come in aluminum catering containers.  We have four different sizes and items are not priced by platter but by per person.  Feel free to ask us about any of your events to get estimate for items you are interested in serving at your party.

  • How much notice do you need for catering?

-It all depends on the number of your party and whether you need assistance with your order or not.  Anything below 20 people, we will be able to do with one day notice.  Anything larger we would appreciate at least two day notice or more.   If you need help with planning, then one week or more is recommended.

  • Are chickens dark meat or white meat?

-We serve both dark meat and white meat for all grilled chicken orders.  You can request for white meat only as well as dark meat only if you prefer one or the other.  However, for our Crispy Chicken Katsu, it is all dark meat.

  • Do we have gift cards?

-We do have gift cards available to purchase at all time, so feel free to ask any one of us.
